What Happens If I Take Too Much Vitamin C?
According to the NHS taking, more than 1000mg a day may cause some side effects. These can include:
• Stomach Pain
• Diarrhoea
• Flatulence
These symptoms should disappear when you reduce your Vitamin C intake.
What Are Common Signs Of Vitamin C Deficiency?
Most known as Scurvy, this vitamin deficiency can be avoided with a healthy varied diet.
However, some common symptoms are:
• Feeling tired or weak all the time
• Feeling sad or irritable
• Severe joint or leg pain
• Swollen or/and bleeding gums (in extreme cases this can cause teeth to fall out)
• Developing red or blue spots on the skin (usually around the shin area)
• Skin that bruises easily
